“Unless you repent, you too will perish” (Luke 13:5).

Repent and keep on repenting.
What’s that about?
Firstly, anytime we are given the opportunity to repent, such a time is given to us because of grace and mercy. That we can read these words and hear the invitation to repent means that God is giving us the chance to repent and get right with God. That’s grace. That’s mercy.
If you have never received Jesus as Lord and Savior and if you are reading these words, your time is right now. Receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. The way you do that is to pray and say, “Jesus, I am a sinner in need of a Savior. Forgive my sins. I submit to you and your ways.”
Secondly, repentance is not a one time event. Repentance is an ongoing, never-ending posture. Why? Because every single Christian is a repeat sinner. Even after Jesus has saved us, every Christian continues to battle sin until our dying breath. Because we are repeat sinners, we must be repeat repenters.
Repenting is like brushing your teeth. Imagine if you said, “You know, I’ve already repented. Jesus has already saved me. I’m good with the whole repentance thing.” That’s kind of like saying, “You know, I brushed my teeth once. I’ve already done that. I’m good with the whole brushing my teeth thing.”
Yuck! That would be gross!
Exactly.
Because we keep sinning, we need to keep repenting. If we don’t – that’s just gross!
Repent and keep on repenting!
