Leviticus 19:14 – Do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block in front of the blind, but fear your God. I am the LORD.
Duh! That would be totally jacked. That’s so wicked. That is so messed up in so many ways. Who would do that?!?!
Why would God put something so plain and evident in the Bible?
Read that verse again. Do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block in front of the blind, but fear your God. I am the LORD.
What if God wasn’t only talking about those who are blind and deaf physically, but was also referring to those who are spiritually blind and deaf?
Are there times when we – Christians/church – are a stumbling block and a curse to those who are spiritually blind and deaf?
Isn’t it just as messed up, jacked up, cruel, wicked, and wrong for the Christians/church to be a stumbling block and a curse instead of being a blessing and a witness to God’s grace and mercy?
The church and Christians – a stumbling block to the blind and a curse to the deaf?
Lord have mercy
