“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God” – Isaiah 41:10
When I was a kid, there were times when I was afraid. But it was amazing how quickly the fear would melt away when dad was holding my hand.
Nothing had changed with my environment. It was still dark. What changed was I was no longer alone. My dad was with me. His presence made all the difference in the world.
“Do not fear…”
“Do not be dismayed…”
Why? Our Father tells us.
“For I am with you.”
“For I am your God.”
The circumstances in our world hasn’t changed. It’s just that our Father, our God is with us every step of the way. God’s presence makes all the difference.
And somehow, the world isn’t such a scary place anymore…
