“In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus” (Romans 6:11).
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
There is absolutely, categorically, no way Jose-ly (I made that up), God makes room for sin in the life of the believer. God does not entertain, accept, and certainly celebrate sin.
The only persons to whom Godly correction sound like and feel like judgment are those who are comfortable in their sin.
Christian, we will struggle with sin until the day we die. We will struggle with sin until God frees us from this flesh.
What a glorious day that will be.
So, if you find yourself uncomfortable with sin in your life…GREAT! It’s supposed to be that way. Keep wrestling. Keep fighting. Keep pursuing God’s holiness.
